About the author (2000)

TaRessa Stovall is the co-author of A Love Supreme, and The Buffalo Soldiers. She is also the co-editor of the anthology, Proverbs for the People. She is currently a professor in the Temple University School of Communications and a public relations consultant. TaRessa is a native of Seattle, and a graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She now resides in Southern New Jersey with her family.

Calvin Stovall is President and CEO, dynamic speaker, leadership coach and trainer for The Professional Advantage, Inc. based in Minneapolis, MN. With more than 16 years in the hospitality industry, Calvin served as vice president of marketing with Hilton Hotels Corporation where he was responsible for the brand marketing and public relations efforts for more than 150 Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels, voted best in class by numerous consumer advocacy publications, including Consumer Reports and recognized four times by J.D. Power and Associates. Calvin, along with his lovely wife Taisha and vibrant son, Caden Daniel, reside in Minneapolis, MN.
