These days to travel in Europe is different to the way it looked like in the 1960s and the 1970s. People also move for different reasons and with a different status when they take up a job. However, there are many countries in the world from where people emigrate to find a better, easier life. People left behind envy them and would find it hard to understand if anything went wrong. According to those left behind, nothing could be worse than not to be able to emigrate. Maybe they are right but migration brings different types of problems for those who venture into the unknown, to make their new life. Western countries are not so wealthy, as maybe is imagined by some. People who come to live in them meet all sorts of problems and often find it difficult to adjust. They could be on their own with no support of their family and friends. If your child lives abroad or if you are planning to do so yourself, do not expect it all to be rosy.
