About the author (2006)

Phil Mundt holds a PhD in geology from Stanford University. He worked for Mobil over a period of thirty-four years as a successful exploration manager and manager of geology and geochemistry research. He lived for twelve years in four different Muslim countries and in Turkey visited many of the same places that Saint Paul walked 1,950 years ago. Since retirement in Lago Vista, Texas, he served on city boards and was a two-term president of the 9000-member property owners' association. He and his wife of fifty-five years enjoy golf, sailing, bridge, and visits from their three children and three grandchildren.
