About the author (2004)

Richard F. Sheil received both a bachelor's and master's degree from Eastman School of Music, and a doctor of philosophy with a major in voice science from the University of Michigan. He joined the faculty of the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1949. His teaching duties included private voice, choral conducting, and foreing dictions for singers.
