I have to recommend a look in Chandra Das when referencing any Tibetan monastic term. As well, it is quite comprehensive in its cataloging of the colloquial of the 19th century. In terms of modern colloquial language I would recommend other references be used. Chandra Das, though, should be one of the references viewed in any matter of classical Tibetan. Chandra Das, was a grammarian as well as scholar and many very useful examples are given with most words along with related words. Some problems do exist in Chandra Das and there are some omissions or incomplete definitions as well as some out of order entries and errors in editing. Hey, they did not have word processors then, it was hand done. This particular edition of Chandra Das seems to be a scan of the text.
