About the author (1975)

Manley served as Prime Minister of Jamaica from 1972 to 1980. Writer, political leader, and statesman, Manley's rise as a world leader began after he returned to Jamaica in 1951, having completed a tour of duty in the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Air Force, as well as studies at the London School for Economics and Political Science.
