Peg Bracken (1918 - 2007) is worth discovering, if you haven't already. Still with the wit of the I Hate To ... books (Cook Book, Housekeep Book) but displaying great thoughtfulness and poignancy. A treat of a little book, with a few recipes at the end, which had a special place in her memoir. Read full review
