I got this 1943 book as a gift; it was a library discard my sister picked up for me. Reading it brought back lots of memories from my childhood experiences at both away- and day-camps. The author goes into great detail about creating, managing, and staffing a camp for children. She discusses everything from meal preparation to keeping the waterfront safe and fun for everyone. The book is well-referenced. It is a thoughtfully written volume of modest size. To me, the majority of topics discussed are still relevant to today's camping experiences.
