John Frank is the author of several books for children, and his poetry has frequently appeared in Cricket and Spider magazines. His previous book, Tomb of the Boy King: A True Story in Verse, was hailed as "a mesmerizing epic poem" in a starred review in Publishers Weely, and as "perfectly honed" in a starred review in The Horn Book. He lives in Kirkland, Washington.
