there is no reference to the Guam Employees Association, the first overseas contract workers workers from the Philippines?
My Father, Teofilo E. Hermoso was the President of the almost 20,000
Filipino Guam Employees Association that worked with Brown Pacific Maxon. He was the Principal Clerk Recruiter in the Subic Naval Base in the Philippines that assisted the Filipino workers. I know for a fact that there was even a major labor dispute that prompted the Philippine Congress to conduct an investigation in Guam. It was headline in Manila Times. The complaint was archived in the US Supreme Court.
I cannot find any reference to history books either. I am wondering if the labor issues were taken lightly or expunged from the history of Guam and that of Brown Pacific Maxon and the US Navy.
