A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocer's Assistant
Set in a small town in the west of Ireland in 1958, this play negotiates between the dream and waking states of John Joe Moran, the grocer's assistant, as he wrestles with his relationship with his mother, who won't let him grow up, and his dilemma about whether or not he should stay at home or emigrate.
