ISBN 0865739927 - If this book was a magazine, it would be earning itself a 4 star ranking. As a book, it's almost a joke. For 10 bucks, it's a bad joke.
With very little text and repeating photos
, it's Fence and Gate Ideas for the Homeowner with a Short-Attention Span. The photos are lovely and present some nice ideas. Unfortunately, that's the total value of the book - some pretty pictures. The text is not particularly informative, but it does provide some basics.
Of course, the greatest problem with this sort of book (even if it had been a fantastic book) is that things become outdated. A magazine on the topic, something printed last month, is far more likely to yield useful, current info. Let the kids cut the photos out of this one so that it's not a total waste.
