About the author (1980)

Garry Trudeau began drawing Doonesbury" in 1970. He has written for television and the Broadway stage, and his animated film A Doonesbury Special" was nominated for an Academy Award. Doonesbury" was the first strip ever to win the Pulitzer Prize. Doonesbury "has tracked and explored forty years of American culture through six wars and eight presidential administrations.
