Her cousin, Tom, has a strange feeling about the place. Then he comes face to face with Charlotte, Becca's double. Charlotte died more than 300 years ago and tells Tom about the deserted village and about Becca.

Alex Gutteridge has written several books about deserted villages in England, all containing ghosts. She also likes to write about witches. Alex lives in Leicestershire, England, with her three children and many pets, which include lots of fish and insects.
