About the author (2007)

Buchler was born in Prague. He co-founded the Cambridge Darkroom where he was co-director until 1987. His work has been widley exhibited and he has also curated a number of exhibitions. He is a professor in Art & Design at Manchester Metropolitan Univ.

Esche runs the Modern Institute in Glasgow, is joint editor of After All magazine and is curating the forthcoming Tate Gallery triennitle.
