Actualizing the total childs' dream through the use of examination: Total Childs` Dream Through Examination
The Concept of the “Total Child” is an all-encompassing concept that cut across all spheres of child development from birth till adolescent up to adulthood. Identifying a total child has the interplay of many factors ranging from behavior, attitude, values, morals, relationship and lots more. However, in school all the aforementioned factors come into play but with much emphasis on performance in tests and examinations. The believe of teachers within the school system is that a total child always lead the cohorts of his mates in class and school. An extension of these even, is expected in school extra curricula activities in game plays and sports. From the foregoing, this paper looks into the administration of school system with a view of making and optimizing the number of total children in Nigeria and World-over, improving quality of education and our school system. The paper also explores factors militating against the making of many total children. Suggestions are proffered with a view to improving the quality of ordinary children toward becoming total in the society.
