This monograph is intended to summarize the overview of the ATL research and the current knowledge on the clinical as well as basic aspects of ATL and the related diseases. The future direction of the basic study and the clinical approaches to control these diseases will also be covered. The altered immune responses and inter- and intra-cellular signaling process by HTLV-1, in particular the relation to the dysregulation of IL-2 receptor system and the redox control by ADF-human thioredoxin will be focused on.
