About the author (2012)

Veronica Reinders has worked in the community for many years starting as a volunteer with St John Ambulance at 9 yrs old. She studied nursing and worked as an Enrolled Nurse in general nursing as well as in an aged care facility. She also worked with children as a stay at home carer and with troubled youth through the local youth service. She has also managed a service for people with disabilities, which helped those with mental, intellectual, emotional and physical disabilities to be integrated and live in the community.
