About the author (2003)

Dr. David Petty, retired professor of sociology, Stephen F. Austin State University, also taught in the Texas Department of Corrections; and, after retiring, led Bible classes at the Penitentiary of New Mexico.

He is a retired colonel, U.S. Air Force Reserve and lives with his wife in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
