Alive on the Andrea Doria!: the greatest sea rescue in history
On July 25, 1956, the Swedish liner Stockholm rammed the Italian luxury liner Andrea Doria. The following morning, the Doria capsized. Of the 1,706 people abord, only 46 perished (along with 5 on the Stockholm) making this rescue the greatest in maritime history. However, the reason for the collision has never been revealed for the general reader before this book.
