The Ronnie Kemper written about in the preview did not die in Dayton, Ohio on Dec 19, 1993.
He died in Sacramento, California, his home, on Sunday Feb 16, 1997, at the age of 89. I have
his obituary, it was published in the Sacramento Bee on Wednesday, Feb 19, 1997, Page B5.
A memorial service was held for him on March 2, 1997, at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Fair Oaks, California. I had seen him perform at a piano bar in Sacramento, and my sister was a friend of his. He also had a role in the 1941 film "Pot O' Gold" starring Jimmy Stewart and Paulette Goddard. Two of his records, "Cecilia" and "I'm a Little Teapot" were million-sellers.
