This publication covers important seedborne species of Aspergillus, Fusarium and Penicillium found in warm climates. In contrast to other manuals, emphasis has been put on mycotoxins and other secondary metabolites as criteria for identification. Illustrated descriptions of 15 aspergilli, 9 fusaria and 18 penicillia are presented, together with synoptic keys. The book contains 47 colour plates and several chromatographic and spectroscopic data. Methods for the detection of aflatoxins and other mycotoxins from seeds are elaborated.
