Malcolm Creasey is a highly qualified mountaineering guide and instructor and holds many awards and certificates relating to his work. He has been involved in the training and assessment of mountain leaders and instructors at all levels for many years.

Nigel Shepherd is a professional mountain guide and was the Training Officer to the British Association of Mountain Guides, serving also as its president. He has climbed and guided extensively throughout the world. His writing and photographs are widely published in the outdoor media.
