The symposium brought together the most prominent scholars who have studied this medieval city. The symposium was part of a series of events under the title "The Glory of Ani" commemorating the millennium of the Great Cathedral of Ani. Sponsored by the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, the symposium took place at the New York Historical Society on October 21, 1989. |
