About the author (1991)

Rob Proctor is an author, photographer, lecturer, garden designer, and, above all, a passionate gardener. For eight years, he collaborated with Lauren Springer on an award-winning gardening column for The Denver Post. Together they designed the Perennial Walk at Denver Botanic Gardens.

Rob Gray has photographed twelve books, including In the Arts & Crafts Style (Chronicle), Perennials, Annuals, and Country Flowers (all HarperCollins). His work has been featured in HG, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, New York, Art & Antiques, Self, and Money, among other magazines. An avid triathlete, Gray lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
