Anthology of Catholic Poets 1926
Kessinger Publishing, Jul 1, 2003 - Poetry - 380 pages
1926. This is a Catholic anthology, but within certain limits of a term, which might mean embracing different lands and languages. This collection wanders through a thousand years of English letters, but it returns to the meridian of Rome. The English authors selected all died in communion with the Holy See. This book only indicates the lines of such an anthology, for separate collections could be made from the medieval writers or from the classical temples of Dryden and Pope, or from the modern heralds and aftermath of the Oxford Movement.
