About the author (2002)


SAWANOBORI MATSUKO is a jewelry artist and the owner of a bead shop, Hiroo Bead Bazaar, in Tokyo. Based in New York, she has been designing and creating accessories at her studio, Les Halles, since 1980. Ms.Sawanobori has won acclaim for her work, designed to complement the latest fashions, both in Japan and abroad. Many of her pieces have been featured in magazines and on television. Currently, she teaches beadcraft at Bunka Fashion College and at her shop.
