Appointment of Mr Ian Mccafferty to the Monetary Policy Committee: Fourth Report of Session 2012-13, Vol. 1: Report, Together with Formal Minutes, Volume 1The Committee has considered the suitability of Mr Ian McCafferty for his role as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee against criteria previously used in similar considerations of appointees to the MPC - that of professional competence and personal independence. Mr McCafferty had since 2001 been Chief Economic Advisor to the Confederation of British Industry. The Committee concluded that Mr McCafferty fulfilled their two criteria for the appointment to the MPC of professional competence and personal independence and wished him every success as a member of the MPC. |
