Art Into Life: Collected Papers from the Kresge Art Museum Medieval Symposia
Since 1986, the Kresge Art Museum Medieval Symposium has sponsored a series of presentations by important international scholars in medieval studies. Art into Life offers a selection of the presentations all focusing on medieval book production, fourteenth-century manuscripts, aspects of iconography, and patronage. Art into Life provides a series of detailed discussions, suggesting the many approaches to the study of medieval books, their creation and use. It makes available not only some of the most current and best scholarship in the field of medieval studies, but it also offers unique and thorough understanding of influences and themes that have inspired artistic development.
