About the author (2000)

Dwan attended Stanford University, from where he graduated in 1935. He worked in radio from 1936 as a writer/director in San Francisco and Hollywood. He was staff writer for People are Funny for seven years. He directed Bet Your Life for its entire run on radio and television from 1947 to 1961. Recently, he taught classes on comedy at the University of Southern California.
