lol, oh dear god - feeling charged to reform, reinvent and rebuild the assessment system of my school. Isn't this what happens about every 3-5 years? We latch on to a "new" fad that is nothing more than a recycled version of an older fad with new language so people can make money off of an old idea. The idea of learning targets and assessment is nothing new - other than some of the wording. If you don't inform your students of what you are doing and help them understand just where they are not succeeding in terms of assessment, how can you call yourself a teacher, or maybe I should say, an effective teacher? We don't need to reform, reinvent or rebuild and most certainly not in a one size fits all methodology.

I read a section of this book online from pages 191 to 198 and it was fantastic!!! I made my notes and also referenced the author in my assignment. The approach to using feedback to set goals and the forms indicated were the most appropriate materials required for this age. I strongly recommend this book to readers.
