About the author (2004)

Steven James Petruccio has illustrated numerous Smithsonian Oceanic Collection titles, including Benjamin Franklin award finalists Puffer's Surprise and Seahorse Reef, among others. He has won awards for his watercolor paintings and has been a featured illustrator on Reading Rainbow. Steven resides in Fishkill, New York.
