This is an articulate and satirical send-up of self-help books on how to be a better salesperson. This book will enrich your life -- by teaching you to be a more effective liar and demonstrating how you can empower yourself through the art of manipulation. Refreshingly free of moral hindrances, these 200 sayings, rules and truisms will make you laugh, groan and smile as you recognise people you know -- and people you wish you did not know. These gems of wisdom are accompanied by Christopher Hutsul's hilarious illustrations.

About the author (2000)

Bowden holds a Ph.D. in the philosophy of religion. A former university professor and college dean, he is now in private business.

Ron Steeds is an expert hunter and practicing Buddhist. He refused to join the Olympic Biathlon Team when he learned that live targets were not to be used. He is famous in Canada for being the first man to ride two unicycles at once without serious injury. He has travelled the continent, always running, looking for the one-legged man who can clear his name. Oh, and he likes jazz, too.
