About the author (2009)

Stan Cattermole is the nom de plume of Bete de Jour. Bete de Jour is another nom de plume. Then there’s Plug Sugden, Slim Mitchum and Edgar Elbows. Stan has had more noms de plumes than most men have had hot dates. This is because, like Belle de Jour before him, he chooses to remain anonymous - not because he’s afraid of fame and celebrity scrweing up his day job (or indeed night job), but because for once in his life he wants to move beyond the bald fact of his ugly face.
