About the author (1986)

Toby Bluth was born in the Lone Star state of Texas & raised in Hollywood, where he soon involved himself in all the entertainment arts. Equally at home on stage, film, canvas & the printed page, Toby has staged some 120 musicals & won the prestigious Hollywood Drama-Logue Critics Award four times for design & directing. He has illustrated (and sometimes authored) seventeen children books, including Tom Sawyer, Cinderella & Little Luv Angel. In the realm of the film Mr. Bluth designed & directed an animated screen version of Babes in Toyland for MGM, closely followed by the CBS Christmas special, The Story of Santa Claus, which was extremely well received. He was also art director for the first feature-length Disney Winnie the Pooh film, The Tigger Movie. Toby recently formed an entertainment association with his three brothers, James Bluth, Bradley Bluth & Conway Ho, to produce animated films.
