Retired physical education teachers Tony and Libby Russell plan to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary in a big way. Forgoing a big party, the two plan a trip right before Christmas to experience the markets and fairs in Germany. Their celebration will exceed even their wildest dreams. The tour through the cities of Cologne, Dresden, and Nuremburg proceeds relatively smoothly with the guide Dennis Johnson and Pineapple Rail Tours. But the Russells and the rest of the tour group have no idea of the evil that is being planned behind the scenes. The celebratory holiday turns into a disaster when one of the guides disappears, and the group is delayed from traveling home while authorities investigate the mysterious event. But the Russells face trouble much larger than a delayed return when they are arrested in connection with the tour guide's disappearance. Their dream vacation has suddenly turned into their worst nightmare.
