This is a book with well written patterns that use basic to intermediate sewing skills. The pattern pieces fit together as they should. A nice touch is that most of the bags have volume from darts or pleats and because of that they are useful and practical bags. So far I have made the Glenda clutch, Lovely Clarissa bag, chic hobo bag and floral bag. They all worked out very nicely and were happily received as gifts. The Clarissa bag and floral bag were huge and only useful for light duty like storing a knitting project, not luggage or shopping bags, although they could be if I had have used an upholstery weight material instead of quilting cotton. I would recommend this book highly. Anyone with a need to use up their fabric stash and make some pretty and useful gifts would be able to find a useful pattern here.
