Found this while browsing Powell's Books in Portland, Ore. Luckily got the edition which included '1,000 ways to die' (gut-wrenching). The poetry within is my favorite type, machine gun fast and merciless, a ride down the street everyone told you not to walk down as a kid. It gives no relief with zero compromise. The volume published 22 years ago remains relevant and poignant without being sappy or apologizing. Picking this up after my first exposure to it five years later I am still impressed and riveted. This is something you should pick up when you have no place to be or if you're just going nowhere.
