About the author (2011)

Born in the state of Maryland, A.L. Collins knows the value of interesting characters. Beginning the Bastion series at 18 years of age he currently resides in Carroll County. However such a peaceful and beautiful country area doesn't seem like the proper birthing place for a magical sword and shield adventure. But it did help to craft the world of Bastion, as he ended up traversing the county and making up his own adventures just to pass the time. Just fresh out of high school, he has always sported a fantastic imagination and shown a remarkable skill for telling stories. He was born with a gift to weave tales and give substance to characters, combining the elements of a great story in order to produce novels that will leave you either laughing or crying or maybe both at the same time.
