AutoCAD 2009 30-Day Trial Version included on the enclosed CD. Totally updated for AutoCAD 2009 and 2009 LT including the New and Enhanced application window Ribbon, Menu Browser, Quick Access Toolbar and more. Ideal for classroom instruction or as a self-study tutorial, it provides only what you need without all of the jargon. It also includes 30 lessons with step by step instructions followed by exercises designed for practicing the commands learned within the lesson. Each lesson starts very simple and progresses to more complex. The approach taken is to familiarize users with the drawing commands first, and then teach users to create their own setup drawings. Each lesson is explained clearly and in a non-intimidating manner. All exercises print easily on your 8-1/2 X 11 printer.

About the author (2008)

Cheryl R. Shrock, professor and chairperson of Computer Aided Design at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. She is an Autodesk registered author/publisher and has written a dozen books on AutoCAD. Ms. Shrock began teaching CAD in 1990. Previous to teaching, she owned and operated a commercial product/machine design business where designs were created and documented using CAD. These workbooks are a combination of her teaching skills and her industry experience."Sharing my industry and CAD knowledge has been the most rewarding experience of my career. Students come to learn CAD in order to find employment or to upgrade their skills. Seeing them actually achieve their goals, and knowing I helped, is a real pleasure. If you read the lessons and do the exercises, I promise, you will not fail."-Cheryl Shrock
