About the author (2021)

Professor Emeritus of Asian Studies at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. He was also a member of the Core Doctoral Faculty for the Graduate Theological Union of which PLTS is a member school. He co-edited and contributed to the award-winning two-volume encyclopedia Asian American Religious Cultures.

Church communicator from New York City who has written and edited extensively for Asian, multicultural, refugee and other ministries. She was also the first Asian American member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America board of directors.
