From a young age, Beth learned to rely only on herself. Living with an abusive, alcoholic mother and emotionally absent father, the responsibility of caring for her four younger siblings fell on her. Cooking, cleaning and babysitting replaced toys and friends. When she discovered that she was a product of rape, her loneliness isolated her. Unable to express her new pain in words, she resorted to self mutilation. As the years past Beth was plagued with sorrow caused from the deaths of several loved ones. Escaping the physical pain when she married, the emotional scars still haunted her. Always believing her life had purpose despite being told otherwise, Beth fought to persevere craving the happiness and hope she deserved.
