Collection of papers written following a workshop on the ecosystem function of biodiversity in Mediterranean ecosystems of Australia, held by the CSIRO in Perth in December 1991. Discusses such topics as the impact of changes in land use and climate. Each chapter includes a list of references. The editor is a principal research scientist with CSIRO's Division of Wildlife and Ecology in Perth.
