About the author (2002)

Daniel K. Onion, MD, MPH, FACP, is Director of the Maine–Dartmouth Family Practice Residency Program in Augusta, Maine, and Professor of Community and Family Medicine, Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, New Hampshire. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and did his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington. Dr. Onion has trained physicians and practiced in Maine for 25 years.
