Blow, Wind, Blow! is a whimsical tale about a young boy who day dreams about doing impossible things. What young boy doesn't? On this particular day, he wonders, how it would feel to blow like the Wind. He imagines himself floating through the air and blowing all sorts of things the way his friend, the Wind, does. Then he starts to rethink the whole idea and ends up imagining something that would probably be quite a treat for his friend, the Wind.

About the author (2010)

Zelna started writing stories to amuse her sons when they were growing up in the 1960's and 1970's. Storybooks about African American children were scarce back then, so she created her own. Her first children's story was published by Ebony Jr. in the early 1970's. Zelna has degrees from the University of Texas and The University of San Francisco. She recently retired after forty plus years of outstanding service as an administrator, consultant, and speech and language specialist in the field of special education. Now she enjoys visiting her grandchildren and spending time sharing her personal treasure-trove of children's stories once more. This book, Blow, Wind, Blow, is the first in a series of four dedicated to her family. Her next storybook, Harriette's Seed, will be available in January 2011.
