Adam Keel's work at a Boston mental institution was ordinary, but he enjoyed it. He was liked by his patients and admired by the other doctors. Then John Spier walked into his life and changed Adam forever. John Spier was a serial killer who claimed he had no control over his actions because he was a werewolf. As Adam probes deeper into the mind of his patient, he soon discovers that his and John's meeting was not simply by chance, but fate. Adam is horrified to discover that he is to continue the bloodline and become a werewolf himself. John befriends Adam and prepares him for the night when he will face the wolf and "become." Afterward, Adam must learn how to deal with his new life and wait patiently for the only night when he can end it all. The night of the next blue moon.
