About the author (2010)

He has never attended a culinary school-cooking class nor worked in a bakery. He credits his culinary dessert passion and education to the Food Network. The author was featured on Food Nation with Bobby Flay in 2001, won the custard pie category at the 2007 American Pie Championship in Orlando as well as numerous Arizona State Fair championship contests sponsored by Pillsbury (Softasilk Cake Flour), C & H Sugar, Marie Callender Pies. Crisco, Homestyle Buffet, and Ghirardelli Chocolate.
