JOHN J. RUSZKIEWICZ is professor of rhetoric and composition and director of the division of rhetoric and composition at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of The Presence of Others, Fourth Edition (Bedford/St. Martin's, 2004) with Andrea Lunsford; and Everything's an Argument, Third Edition (Bedford/St. Martin's, 2004) with Andrea Lunsford.

Janice R. Walker is an associate professor in the Writing and Linguistics Department at Georgia Southern University and an associate editor of Reoderly/Writerly Texts.
