About the author (2013)

Helen Tovey is Principal Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Roehampton, London. She is a Froebel-trained nursery teacher, a former headteacher and a Trustee of the National Froebel Foundation. Helen is recognised nationally as an authority on the development of outdoor environments and has published widely.
