Once, at our campsite in Mongolia, I saw our driver, a big, meaty guy who rarely spoke, place the crumb-laden paper cake wrapper from our dinner at the mouth of an ant mound. I was struck by the incredible kindness of the gesture. It was only later that someone told me about Nagarjuna's injunction to kings.
